Education is the manifestation of love and my most cherished possession. Education drives away ignorance and through illumination it emboldens a man to a righteous thought and action. It empowers a woman and enlarges the horizon of her mind. It energizes a society and enables a man to earn his living with respect and praise. Hence my love for it.  Our Arts College, endowed with progressive futuristic outlook aims continual growth in the quality of all academic activities with a sense of commitment to fully meet the expectations of the students, parents and society at large. Our college cares for the individual development of each and every student. We follow “mentor system” under which each student’s comes under web of a teacher. We accord prime importance to the behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognitive developments of our students. All the Departments and Societies- Debate, Fine Art, Literature, Outreach, Photography, Sports, NSS, NCC, Career Guidance Cell, Counselling Cell, Women Empowerment Cell, offer integrated services for the multi –facetted developments of our students. Our teachers strive to teach not only academic programmes but also life skills needed for students’ self development with highly Qualified and resourceful faculty.

I wish the best of fortune, peace and prosperity to all those who contribute to the noble task of spreading education and its manifest qualities, aims and objectives.

  Message from the IQAC Coordinator
Dr.Raju.G.
M.A.,M.Ed.,M.Phil., Ph.D.,
IQAC Coordinator And Associate Professor

Greetings!………….

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”  ― Nelson Mandela

Education plays a key role in the overall development of the society. The role of education is definitely not limited to giving and grasping knowledge and theory. The true goal of education transcends much beyond just awarding degree and certificate to the students. As Mahatma Gandhi said,”By education I mean an all round drawing out of the best in the child and man –body, mind and spirit.”The ultimate goal of education is the discovery of the meaning of life and the fulfilment of life and all mankind as well as for oneself. The quest of education is knowledge, humanity, culture, wisdom and sharpness but it should be noted that knowledge is not given but earned and character is not granted but cultivated.

Our College has established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 1st July 2009. The IQAC being an integral part of the college works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in different aspects of functioning of the college. The IQAC assures the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, management, funding agencies and society in general of the accountability and transparency in the quality management system of the institution and its concern for ensuring quality of education being imparted.Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a step towards excellence. The IQAC of our College organises various programmes for faculty, administrative staff and quality circle members. It conducts open forum to provide interface between students and officials of the college. It conducts staff assessment to provide valuable feedback for quality sustenance and improvement in teaching, learning and research experiences in the college. It documents and reports various activities of the college for various higher education requirements. A continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities to  assure  conducive and enabling environment for teaching, learning  and research. Through all these measures IQAC happens to be one of the important components of the college which ensures quality and continuous improvement in all the units / aspects of the college.

With Best Wishes….
