Golden Jubilee Year Celebration 2018-2019

I deem it my privilege to place before you a brief report of the activities of the academic year 2018-19 of our College.

1. About the College

KITTEL ARTS COLLEGE was born on July, 1st 1988 as a result of the bifurcation of the erstwhile Kittel College into Kittel Arts College and Kittel Science College. The College is managed by Karnataka Northern Diocese, Church of South India, Basel Mission Higher Education Centre, Dharwad and Affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. Bishop Rt.Rev.R.J.Niranjan is the President of the BMHEC. The Basel Mission Higher Education Centre is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 at Assistant Charity Commissioner’s Office, Belgaum as a Trust E-39(DWD).The institution is named after the celebrated Kannada Savant and lexicographer Rev.Dr.Ferdinand Kittel (1832-1903), who came to India as a missionary in 1853; he was deputed by Basel Mission, Germany. He soon gained mastery over the South Indian languages and compiled the voluminous and important Kannada-Kannada-English dictionary (1894).His life and teaching set an example to the young students to emulate. The College is situated on the State Highway 73 erstwhile known as Poona-Bangalore National Highway No-04 and is within walking distance from any part of the city and accessible to all the necessary facilities. The institution aims at imparting a sound learning and liberal education. It provides instruction in Arts stream at the under-graduate level leading to BA Degree. The College aims at scholarship, fellowship and leadership. Its cardinal desire is to develop an all round personality of the young people with spirit of dedication for service. Hence our motto “NOT TO BE SERVED; BUT TO SERVE”. In 2016 Accredited with CGPA of 2.72 on four point scale by 2^ndcycle of NAAC .

2. Staff

The quality of an educational institution is measured in terms of the quality of its staff who carves the destiny of the students. In our college 13 Permanent, 12 Guest faculty and 05 administrative staff always work hand in hand for the welfare of the institution.10 teaching faculties have earned Ph.D. Degree in their subjects.

3. Students

The present strength stands at 553. The number of boys is 401 as against 152 girls.

4. Result

The quality of any educational institution is measured mainly by the academic excellence of the students. Our college has been striving hard to maintain the best academic standards. For the academic year 2017-18 the overall pass percentage is 85.07%; this includes 134 Distinctions, 44 First Class; the percentage being 86.34% and 93% of boys and girls respectively.

5. Achievement of the Students

Gold Medal and Scholarship

Our Student Mr.Hanumant Subhas Nyamagouda has received the Rao Badoor Putappa Benni Gold Medal for his highest Score in the VI Semester examination of 2017-2018 on 69^th Convocation of Karnataka University, Dharwad.
Our Student Mr. Channareddy has received Dr. D.C.Pavate Diamond Jubilee Fund Scholarship for his highest Score in the I Semester examination of 2017-2018 on 69^th Convocation of Karnataka University, Dharwad.

6. Student Mentoring System

Our College is committed to enabling students to access support mechanisms to meet their academic needs. This policy applies to all mentors and mentees who take part in the programme. It aims to ensure that students have the opportunity to work with a mentor who will offer support and guidance on academic issues. Thus, a personal relationship is created for better understanding of the student’s aspiration, strengths and weaknesses. The College is committed to regularly reviewing the effectiveness of the student Mentoring Policy and procedures and making adjustments as and when necessary in response to the needs of those involved.

This Policy is underpinned by the following key principles:

· Our students must be supported to achieve their potential while at College, in an environment where their wellbeing is fulfilled

· Students who are at-risk of drop-out will have the opportunity to work with a mentor whose role will be to provide them with additional support in academic issues.

· There is an evaluation process for assessing the effectiveness of mentors and mentoring program and also for identifying the possible challenges.

· Sharing of mentee Information- In case the mentor leaves, the information about the mentee needs to be shared with the new mentor. There is a handing over form which needs to be signed by both the new and the old mentor.

Responsibilities fulfilled by Mentor:

· Each student is allocated a faculty mentor at the time of admission.

· A mentor successfully provided support to 49 mentees.

· Mentors understood their mentees and helped them settle well in the new environment.

· Mentor acted as a guide, coach and role model for the mentees.

· Mentor were interacted periodically with the mentees to review experience gained and set objectives for the next period

Mentees:

· Mentees were regular and punctual for meetings with the mentor.

· They must attended training as directed by the mentor.

7. Educational and Cultural Exchange programme with German Delegates:

German Delegates, Rt.Rev.Martin.Heinn,Claudia Brinkmann and others visited our institution on 9^th October 2018 and delivered beautiful culture oriented lecture to the students community and also recorded beautiful message as follows “We have visited this institution on the occasion of golden jubilee year celebration. Really we are satisfied with the local hospitality and interaction with Students. The golden jubilee of the institution is a great event. We take this opportunity to congratulate the Management and especially the dynamic staff. Finally our best wishes to all to continue this journey on the road of excellence.”

8. IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell):

The internal quality assurance Cell was constituted under the Chairmanship of the Principal in July 2009 .Since then to till date all the activities of the college are conducted under the IQAC. Faculty training programmes, workshops, seminars, programmes for cultivating students’ research potentiality, infrastructural development of the college; organizing seminars, workshops etc. are regular features of the IQAC. All the activities of various departments, societies, NSS and NCC are conducted under the banner of IQAC.

9. Conducted Special Programmes on account of Golden Jubilee Year Celebration

1. Conducted One-Day National Level Workshop entitled “Educational Contribution of Indian Thinkers” under the Department of Education on 11/10/2018. More than 50 participants from different colleges were participated.

2. Conducted One-Day National Level Seminar by the Social Science Forum entitled “Social innovations for Ageing Population” on 9/2/2019. More than 60 participants from different colleges were participated and benefited.

3. Conducted One-Day National Level Seminar by Language Department entitled “Contribution of Christian Missionaries to Classical Kannada Language on 5/3/2019. More than 100 participants of different colleges were participated and benefited.

ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ“ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಸೆಲ್ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳ ಕೊಡುಗೆ” ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ಅಂತರ್‍ಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಬಹುಭಾಷಿಕ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣದ ವರದಿ

ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕಲಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ 50 ವರ್ಷ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ “ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಸೆಲ್ ವಿಶನಗರಿಗಲ ಕೊಡುಗೆ’ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತು ಬಹುಭಾಷಿಕ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 05 ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2019 ರಂದು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಡಾ. ಕೆ. ಆರ್. ದುರ್ಗಾದಾಸ್ ಯೋಜನಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಇವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಕರಾಗಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳ ಬಹುಮುಖ ಸೇವೆ, ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇಡೀ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದರು. ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಕೋಶÀ ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಭಿಜಾತ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾದರಿ. ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿಂದು ನಾವು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಪ್ರೊ. ರಹಮತ್ ತರೀಕೆರೆ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಹಂಪಿ ಇವರು ಆಶಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿ 50 ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳು ಊಹೆಗೆ ಮೀರಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇಂದಿನ ಸಂಶೋಧಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯದ ಬಹುತ್ವ ಪಡೆದ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳು ವಿವೇಕದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕಿದರು. ಶ್ರಮಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿ, ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಯ ಸೇತುವೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು. ಕಿಟೆಲ್‍ರು ಕನ್ನಡದ ರಸ ಋಷಿಗಳು, ಸುಪ್ತ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನೆಲೆ ಮೀರಿ ನಿಂತು ಜಾÐನದ ವಿಷಯ, ವಿವೇಕದ ಚಿತ್ತದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊಸ ಹಾದಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಿಮೋಲ್ಲಂಘನಗೈದು ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ, ಪಠ್ಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕ, ನಿಘಂಟು, ಕಾವ್ಯ ಸಂಪಾದನೆ, ಕಾವ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಯನ, ಅನುವಾದ, ತೌಲನಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ, ಶಾಸನ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಗಳ ಸೇವೆ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳ ಬಹುತ್ವ ವಿವೇಕದ ಪ್ರತೀಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಆಧ್ಯಯನ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿರುವದು ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳಿಂದ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇದೊಂದು ಆರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ನಾವಿಂದು, ಸಂಶೋಧಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಬಹು ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ ರೈಟ್ ರೆ. ರವಿಕುಮಾರ ಜೆ. ನಿರಂಜನ ಬಿಶೋಪರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಉತ್ತರ ಸಭಾಪ್ರಾಂತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಬಾಸೆಲ್ ಮಿಶನ್ ಉಚ್ಛ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕಗಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವ ಸಂಕುಚಿತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಭಾಷಿಕವಾಗಿ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅವರಸೇವೆ ಗುರುತಿಸುವ ಜೊತೆ ಅವರ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳು ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಜರೂರತೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪ್ರೊ. ಜೆ. ಎಸ್. ಕುರಿ ಧರ್ಮದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಬಾಸೆಲ್ ಮಿಶನ್ ಉಚ್ಛ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ರೇಖಾ ಜೋಗುಳ, ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ವ್ಹಿ. ಆಯ್. ಶೇಖ್, ಡಾ. ಸುರೇಶ ಬಿ. ನ್ಯಾಮತಿ ಹಾಗು ಡಾ. ಬಸವರಾಜಪ್ಪ ವ್ಹಿ. ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮೊದರ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಧಾರೆಗಳು ಮಂಡಿತವಾದವು.

ಇವರುಗಳು ಮೂರು ಮಹತ್ವದ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಸ ಬೆಳಕು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರ ಚರ್ಚೆಯೂ ಈ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಸಮಾನಾಂತರ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಲೇಖನ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಡಾ. ಜಿ. ಎಂ. ಹೆಗಡೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಂಶೋಧಕರು, ನಿವೃತ್ರ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕಲಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಬಸವರಾಜಪ್ಪ ವ್ಹಿ. ಅಸೋಸಿಯಟ್ ಫೆಲೋ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಇವರು ಸಮಾನಾಂತರ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಡಾ. ವೀರಣ್ಣ ರಾಜೂರ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಗೆ ಮಾರು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರೋಗಿಗ¼,À ಅಸಹಾಯಕರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಜನಮಾನಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದು ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳ ಸೇವಾ ಮಹೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದರು. ರೆ. ಮಾರ್ಟಿನ ಬೋರಗಾಯಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪಾದ್ರಿ ಆಲ್ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಿಶನರಿಗಳು ಸ್ಫೂತಿದಾಯಕರಾದರು ತಾವು ಸೇವೆಗೆ ತೊಡಗಲು ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಪ್ರಸಂಗವನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಸಮೇತ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಾ ಮಹೋಭಾವ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ಟೀವ್ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಂ ಅಭಿಯಂತರರು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರ್ಷ ಮಳೇಕರ ಐ.ಟಿ.ಐ. ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಶೀಲಾ ಕುಮಾರಿ ದಾಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಸ್.ಎಫ್ ಹಳ್ಳಿಕೇರಿ ಇವರು ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಇಡೀ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣದ ಫಲಶೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಬಸವರಾಜಪ್ಪ ವ್ಹಿ. ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಡಾ. ಕೆ. ಆರ್. ದುರ್ಗಾದಾಸ್ ಯೋಜನಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಇವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಡಾ. ರೇಖಾ ಚೋಗುಳ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕಲಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ವ್ಹಿ. ಆಯ್. ಶೇಖ್, ಡಾ. ಸುರೇಶ ಬಿ. ನ್ಯಾಮತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಬಸವರಾಜಪ್ಪ ವ್ಹಿ. ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಇದೊಂದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾದರಿಯಾದ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು,. ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಸಕ್ರೀಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.

4. Conducted Udyoga Mela in the College premises on 22/2/2019; more than 700 applicants from different districts participated out of which 236 candidates were selected for different jobs.

The Library Orientation Program marked the beginning of the activities of the Dept. of English for the year 2018-2019. On 26.7.2018 the freshers who have opted for Optional English were taken to the library and oriented on the various reference books, the facilities of the library, the OPAC and such other details to help them wade their way in the maze of books . This Program also helped them shed their apprehensions about the new environment they were in and also served to enhance their level of confidence regarding Optional English.

On 4.8.2018 the Kannada movie ‘Chomana Dudi’ was screened for the benefit of the V Semester MEL English students as they were studying the text ‘Choma’s Drum’.

A series of lectures on Phonetics were arranged for the B.A.I Semester Optional English students, the lectures were delivered by retired faculty Prof. S.S.Antin.

On 23.8.2018 Shakespeare’s Romantic comedy ‘As You Like It’ was screened.

On 29.1.2019 a very unique program was undertaken in collaboration with the Dept. Of Hindi. ‘The Pariksha Pe Charcha’ was a dicussion on examination which was hosted by the Hon’able Prime Minister on the subject of examination and the stress that accompanies it. It was telecast in the library . As many as forty –two students viewed the program.

The Dept. Of English along with the Literature Society and the Women Empowerment Cell conducted an Essay Competition on 21.1.2019. The topics were as follows.

1. Role of government in women empowerment. 2.Managing natural disasters. 3. Pros and cons of Kannada as medium of instruction. The First place was bagged by Bheemashankar Bhimaray of IV Sem. The Second place was shared by Nahida Gokak II Sem and Vittal Reddy IV Sem . The Third sem was won by Shreedhar Kyatanakeri of VI Sem.

Ø Celebrated Hindi day on 28^th September 2018.Dr.(Smt).C.N.Hombali Principal Government first grade college, Alnavar, participated as a resource person and delivered lecture on “New trends in Hindi language and Importance”. All the students of the department benefited the programme.

The Department of Psychology conducted mental health awareness program in our college in association with DIMHANS on the occasion of World mental health week on October 2018. 3. Fun week Celebration from 18-03-2019 to 27-03-2019

Fun week was conducted in the college from 18^th March 2019 to 27^th march 2019. The Students grandly celebrated the Fancy week, Group Day, Green Day, Black and white Day, Traditional Day, Eco Day. The following are the highlights of the fun week.

The Debate society of our college, conducted various competitions for the students. The main aim of all the competitions is to inculcate the art of healthy thinking and speaking in the students. The students of B.A, I III, and V Semester benefited from all the competitions.

1. Organized Inter-Collegiate Debate and Bhavageeta Competition:

Rev. Ferdinand Kittel Memorial Inter-Collegiate Debate and Bhavageeta Competition was conducted on 15^th February 2019. 44 students of different college participated in the competition. Miss. Shreya Deshpande of Karnatak Arts College,Dharwad won the 1^st prize, Miss.Amreenbanu.M.Y of S.J.M.V.S Womens College,Hubli won the 2^nd prize; Mr.Gajanan.Hegde of MES College Sirsi won 3^rd prize and Miss.Durga.M.Oli of B.N.D.C College, Dandeli won the consolation prize.

Miss. Vaishali.Kulkarni of J.T.College Gadag secured first place, Miss. Navya.Bhat of MES College Sirsi won the second prize, Miss.Varun.Bhat of MES College Sirsi won the third place and Fakiresh.Hulli of SJMV Mahant College, Dharwad secured consolation prize.

Our Society organized Elocution, Debate and Essay writing competitions for the students. All the students benefited from the programme.

Miss Mahima N. Basutkar of IV semester participated in the following competitions- Inter Collegiate Debate competition organized by JSS College, Dharwad on 9.3.2019 and she has bagged the III prize. SheØ has also bagged the II and III Prize in Debate Competition Nehru Yuva Kendra Dharwad and the District Level Debate Competition organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Dharwad on 28.9.2018 and 16.1.2019 respectively. She has also participated in the Inter Collegiate debate competition organized by Karnatak University, Dharwad.

Department of Physical Education along with 3/24 NCC unit organised International Yoga Day on 21^st June 2018, more than 150 students from our college were took part in the programme at Karnatak College Dharwad and special lecture was given on that day regarding the health benefits of yoga. After special lecture asanas like suriyanamaskar, salabasana, dhanurasana, halasanna were practised.

2.Our College Volleyball, Athletics and Kabaddi Teams Participation in Karnatak University Tournaments Volleyball

Our College Volleyball Team participated in Karnatak University First Zone Volleyball Tournament for the year 2018-19

Our College Athletic Team participated in Karnatak University Inter-collegiate Athletic meet for the year 2018-19 at M.P.E.Society’s, S.D.M. Degree College, Honnavar.

Our College Women Kabaddi Team participated in Karnatak University Signal Zone Volleyball Tournament for the year 2018-19 on 10^th and 11^th September 2018 at Mahantswamy Arts Science and Commerce College, Haunsbhavi.

5.Annual Sports Meet 2018-2019

Annual Sports meet was conducted on 16th March 2019 at R N Shetty District Stadium Dharwad. Dr.Rekha M Jogul In-charge Principal of our college inaugurated the Sports meet. The faculty and Students were present on the occasion.

v WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND GENDER SENSITIVITY CELL

On 21.2.2019 a unique program was organised in collaboration with the Karnataka State Women’s Cell. This was entitiled ‘Arivina Payana’ in order to spread awareness among the youth against the violence meted out to women in almost all sectors.

On 9.3.2019 the members of the women’s cell along with students participated in the rally and the mammoth Seminar in the premises of Kalabhavan undertaken by the Karnataka State Women’s Cell.

On 8.3.2019 the International Women’s Day was celebrated. Dr. Kamala Dhawale , Principal of C.S.I. Commerce College was the chief guest.

Department of Library & Information Centre

The college library is a precious storehouse of rare volumes. The “Kittel Bandar” which is a collection of the literary works of Rev. Ferdinand Kittel is the most erudite part of the library.

Books purchased in the library under fallowing grants for the year 2018-2019

College section has 158 books worth Rs. 29,162/-. The total number of 158 books have been added to the library this year.

The total number of books in the library is 29162. Competitive examination (KAS, IAS, Railway, Bank etc.) books are also included. The library is digitalized and is equipped with the appropriate multilingual software with Bar code technology to provide fast and efficient services to users.

Besides, the library procures 20 periodicals, 08 journals out of which 04 are international journals. The library department is subscribed to INFLIBNET (N-List) in which 31,35,000 e-books and 6,000 e-journals are made available.

LCD TV facility is also available, this is used to project informative programs to the students, this is the best practices of the library.

Offline e-resources service is providing to the users through CALIBRE E-BOOKS MANAGEMENT.
Audio-Visual library facility is also available to the students.
Internet service and e-browsing facility is provided to the students and staff at free of cost.

The smart card technology has been adopted which facilitates fast and efficient service to students and faculty.
The library is air conditioned for pleasure reading.

The department activities for the year- 2018-2019

1. Employment Exchange Dharwad District and Kittel Arts College Dharwad jointly organized “Udyoga Mela” on 23.02.2019 in the college premises. 619 students were participated out of which 211 students got employment in various companies.

2. Department of library along with the Dept. of Economics screened the direct relay of Central Government Budget on 01-02-2019 in the library.

· During January 12 to 19 NSS Unit of the college celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi as a National Youth Week in the college campus and outside the campus. On 12^th January 2018 inaugurated the Swami Vivekananda jayanthi in the college. It was inaugurated by our Principal Dr. Rakha Jogul with lighting the lamp and Dr. Rekha Jogul spoke on the occasion towards the principles and messages of Swami Vivekananda.

· On 18^th January 2019 Youth Rally organized in Dharwad city. All NSS volunteers of local colleges participated in the rally. Our college took the lead in the rally.

· On 20^th August 2018 celebrated Sadbhavan Diwas in our college. Dr. C. P. Manohar and Dr. V. I. Shaikh spoke on the occasion towards the celebration of Sadbhavan diwas and they talked on the contribution of Sir Sardhar Vallabhabai Patel

· During the 1^st week of September 2018 NSS volunteers collected about Rs. 6500/- for the contribution to Madikeri flood affected people.

On 4^th September 2018 awareness programme on natural calamities was organized in our college and created the awareness among the students towards different natural calamities affecting in the countries.

Ø On 11^th September 2018 Rally was Organized on account of 150 years of Swami Vivekananda Speech at Chicago in America the rally was started from Karnatak Arts College Dharwad to Swami Vivekanda circle in Dharwad. Dharwad District Deputy Commissioner Smt. Deepa Cholan inaugurated the rally and spoke on the occasion towards speech made by Swami Vivekananda at Chicago.

Ø On 14 March Free EYE checkup camp organized in Neelarakatti village of Dharwad Taluka.

v REPORT OF NSS UNIT

Kittel Arts College Dharwad has one NSS unit with 100 NSS volunteers for the year 2018-19. The students are selected as per their interest and talent. During the year Dr. Suresh B. Nyamati, Assistant professor of Economics has continued as NSS officer for the academic year. The aim of the NSS is to develop the potential strength, wisdom, idealism and enthusiasm of the youth into constructive social welfare. The NSS imparts education through social service in creating awareness of unity and tolerance along with the leadership qualities among the students. The motto of our college is “NOT TO BE SERVED; BUT TO SERVE,”

Ø NSS volunteers were selected as per their interest and merit for the year 2018-19. During 2018-19 NSS unit of our college conducted 30 NSS parades i.e. Class Room Parades in Saturday, the Shramadhan activites on Sunday in most of the weeks.

Ø On 23^rd June 2018 Orientation function was organized and oriented the NSS volunteers i.e. guided, motivated and encouraged them about the social services and also given tips for their personality development.

Ø On 30^th June 2018 life skill class was conducted, and explained to all NSS volunteers towards various life skills including emotions coping with stress, creativity, critical thinking, inter personal skill and soon.

Ø On 12 July 2018 NSS Volunteers were taken to Alur Venkatarao Auditorium and participated in one day workshop organized by Alur Venkata Rao Trust, the function was inaugurated by Prof. Pramod B. Gai, Vice Chancellor Karnatak University Dharwad towards contribution of Alur Venkatarao during Freedom movement

Ø On 19 July 2018 NSS Unit of our college Organized Swachha Mahavidyalaya Abhiyana in the college. All NSS volunteers actively participated. They cleaned all class rooms, corridors and campus. It was one of the best Shramadhan Activities undertaken by our NSS volunteers.

Ø On 25^th of July 2018, NSS volunteers of the college participated Vanamahostava programme and created the importance of tree and planted 10 plants.

Ø On 27^th July 2018 one day NSS camp was organized in the Uppina Betageri village of Dharwad Taluka on account of Swachch Bharath Summer Internships Prgramme and during the camp NSS volunteers cleaned bus stand and created the awareness among the people towards Swachchte, Drainage, Health, Education, Environment and also created awareness in the Pre University College and High school also.

Ø On 1^st August 2018 Swachchta Pakhwada Programme Inougarated by Dr. M.B. Dalapati Coordinator NSS Cell Karnatak University Dharwad. He spoke on the occasion towards importance of the celebration of Swachchta Pakhwada Programme.

Ø On 4^th August 2018 plantation programme was undertaken in the college campus. And planted 15 plants in different places.

Ø On 5^th August 2018 cleaning activities were under taken by NSS volunteers on account of Swachchta Pakhwada Programme

Ø On 10^th August Taluka level debate competition was conducted in the college the collaboration of NSS cell KUD Nehru Yuva Kendra Dharwad and two NSS volunteers of each college.

Ø On 14th of August 2018 NSS volunteers undertook the cleaning work of college ground for the celebration of Independence Day, and prepared the ground for the celebration of Independence Day.

Ø On 15^thAugust 2018 NSS volunteers participated Independence Day function in the college campus and celebrated the day Prof. S. S. Antin was the chief guest, he spoke on the occasion regarding the role of youth in nation building.

Ø On 2^nd October 2019 as per the Government order that is to celebrate the Gandhiji Jayanti as principle of Swachch Hi Seva. Therefore all NSS volunteers were taken to Kala Bhavan for Shramadhana purposes. They cleaned total surrounding area of Kala Bhavan.

Ø During 12^thto 16^th October 2018 participated as a organizing member for the organization of 5 days State Level Youth Festival organized by NSS cell Karnatak University Dharwad

Ø During 12^th to 16 October 2018, Six NSS volunteers of our college participated in the state level youth festival organized by NSS cell Karnatak University Dharwad .

Ø On 24^th October 2018 Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti was Celebrated in our college. All NSS volunteers and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Suresh Nyamati participated and spoke on the occasion towards the contribution made by Maharishi Valmiki i.e. Valmiki Ramayana

Ø On 30^rd October 2018 NSS volunteers were taken to Devara Hubballi village for creation of awareness among the rural people towards swachchta, Health, education, water Harvesting, protection of environment and soon. 35 NSS volunteers participated

Ø On 31^st October 2018 Vigilance awareness week programme on anti-corruption celebrated in our college. All Staff members and NSS volunteers participated. And created the awareness towards corruption.

Ø On 31^st October 2018 National Ekta Diwas celebrated and oath was given by Dr. M.H. Mulla to all NSS volunteers.

Ø On 1^st November 2018 Celebration of Karnatak Rajyostava Programme organized in our college. Dr. Rekha Jogul, Principal our college, Prof. Daniel Praveen Kumar Principal Kittel PU college, staff members and all NSS volunteers were participated. Dr. Rekha Jogul spoke on the occasion.

Ø On 28^th November 2018 rally organized by NSS unit of K. E. Board First Grade Arts and Commerce College Dharwad to create awareness among the slum people of Gollara Colony in Dharwad. Dr. S. B. Nyamati Dharwad District Nodel Officer of NSS Karnatak University Dharwad participated in the rally.

Ø On 28 November 2018 Swachchta Abhiyana Programme organized by NSS unit of K. E. Board First Grade Arts and Commerce College Dharwad and cleaned college campus. Dr. S. B. Nyamati Dharwad District Nodel Officer of NSS Karnatak University Dharwad participated.

Ø During 5^th, 6^th 7^th January 2019 Participated in the Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana as per the order given by Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad District. And performed as volunteer along with 200 NSS volunteers and students and also provided the facilities to the participant in the food court.

Ø On 8^th January 2019 attended one day workshop on Public Finance Management System Organized by NSS cell Karnatak University Dharwad. Prof. Hulagur explained about the use of NSS account with PFMS system.

Ø During January 12 to 19 NSS Unit of the college celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi as a National Youth Week in the college campus and outside the campus. On 12^th January 2018 inaugurated the Swami Vivekananda jayanthi in the college. It was inaugurated by our Principal Dr. Rakha Jogul with lighting the lamp and Rekha Jogul spoke on the occasion towards the principles and messages of Swami Vivekananda. During the week all NSS units of different colleges organized different activities including Debate Competition. Elocution Competition, Essay Competition, Singing Competition, Rangoli Compeition, Pick and speak competition and soon. NSS volunteers of our college participated in different competition. On 15 January 2019 shramadhana Activities were undertaken in the college campus.

Ø On 18^th January 2019 Youth Rally organized in Dharwad city. All NSS volunteers of local colleges participated in the rally. Our college NSS unit took the lead in the rally.

Ø On 25^th January 2019 Oath was given to all NSS volunteers regarding the vote. All NSS volunteers were taken to Patil Puttappa Sabha Bavan for the Participation in the voters awareness programme organized by Zilla Panchayath Dharwad. Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad District Smt. Deppa Cholan spoke on the occasion. Dr. Satisha B. C. CEO of Dharwad Zilla panchayath also spoke on the occasion. He says about the importance of casting the vote for building the nation.

· On 26^th January 2019 NSS NCC volunteers of our college participated in the Republic day function in our College. Dr. M. Y. Savanth was the chief guest of the function. The Dr. M.Y. Savanth spoke about the discipline, interest for the personality development. He said about the future life of the volunteers

ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ವರದಿ 2018-19

ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಕೋಶ, ಕ.ವಿ.ವಿ. ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ, ತಾಲೂಕ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಬೇಲೂರ, ಟಾಟಾ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಇವರ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತಾಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ನ ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಧಾರವಾಡ ತಾಲೂಕ ನೀರಲಕಟ್ಟಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 09-03-2019 ರಿಂದ 15-03-2019 ವರಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ “ಜೀವಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ನ ಹೊಣೆ” ಶಿರ್ಶಿಕೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಒಟ್ಟು 60 ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕ/ಸೇವಕಿಯರು ಶಿಬಿರದಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನ
ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು 09-03-2019 ರಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಅಮೃತ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಇವರು ಉದ್ಭಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಕರಿಯಪ್ಪ ಮಾದರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾಹಾದೇವ ದಂಡಿನ ತಾಲೂಕ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಫ. ಕಡ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಬೇಲೂರ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ದೀಪಾ ಪೂಜಾರ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಬೇಲೂರ ಇತರೆ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ರೇಖಾ ಜೋಗುಳ ಇತರರು ಉಪಸ್ತಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಅಮೃತ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು, ಅದು ನಡೆದು ಬಂದ ದಾರಿ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಜೀಯವರ ಕನಸು ಆ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸುವ ಹೊಣೆ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ/ಸೇವಕಿಯರದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕ ಸೇವಕಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕರೆಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಫ. ಕಡ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಯಾವುವು ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನ
ದಿನಾಂಕ 10-3-2019 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಚನ್ನಬಸಪ್ಪ ಅಂಬಣ್ಣವರ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಯೋಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 12.30 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಚರಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚತೆಯ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚತೆಯ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಓಣಿ ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ದ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕ ಬಳಸಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಿದರು.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 7 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಡಾ. ರಾಜು ಜಿ. ಇವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ಎಂದರೇನು? ಅದು ಹೇಗೆ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಪಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಸುರೇಶ ನ್ಯಾಮತಿ ಇವರು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಂದರೆ ಜೀವ ಜಲದ ಮೂಲಗಳು, ಮಳೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರುವ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಜೀವ ಜಲ ಬರಿದಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುರಿತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ನಂತರ 7.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಹೊಂಗಲ್ (ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಮಲ್ಲ) ಇವರು ಹಾಸ್ಯಬರಿತ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಬಳಕೆ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಶೌಚಾಯಲಗಳ ಬಳಕೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅರಿವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವೇ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಕುರಿತು ಸತ್ಸಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನ
11-3-2019 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸಪ್ಪ ತಪೇಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಾಭಿಮಾನ ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಯೋಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 12.30 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಚರಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚತೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಓಣಿ ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ದ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕ ಬಳಸಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 7 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪದ್ಮಾವತಿ ಎನ್. ಸಂಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಭಾರತ ಮಿಶನ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ನೈರ್ಮಲೀಕರಣ ಎಂದರೇನು? ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೈರ್ಮಲೀಕರಣದಿಂದ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ನೀವುಗಳು ರಕ್ಷಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ನಂತರ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ವಿನೋದ ಕಂಠಿ, ಯೋಜನಾ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಮತದಾನದ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಮತ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಕ್ಕು ಅದನ್ನು ಚಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸರಕಾರದ ರಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ನಂತರ 7.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಸೇವಕಿಯರು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರುಗಳು ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನರಂಜನೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ನೈತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಕುರಿತು ಸತ್ಸಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿನ
12-3-2019 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್. ಕೆ. ಪಾಟೀಲ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸತತ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಪಟ್ಟರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಗಳ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಗುರಿ ಮುಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಯೋಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 12.30 ಗಂಟೆಯವgಗೆÉ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಚರಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮತ್ತು ನೀರನ್ನು ಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಿರೆಂದು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೊಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಓಣಿ ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ದ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕ ಬಳಸಿ ಜೀವಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ವಿನಾಶ ಎಂಬ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೀರಿನ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೀವಜಲದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 6.30 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 9 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ತಿಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಸಾಲಿಖಾನಿ ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯ ನಿರಂಜನ, ಮಂಜು ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನ, ಸಂಗೂರ ಇವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯ ಮದ್ದುಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪುರಾತನ ವೈದ್ಯ ಪದ್ದತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜನರು ಯಾವ ಯಾವ ಗಿಡಮೂಲಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಗಿಡಮೂಲಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದರು.
ನಂತರ 9 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಡಾ. ಶ್ರೀಶೈಲ್ ಹುದ್ದಾರ ಜಾನಪದ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು, ಶಿಗ್ಗಾಂವ್ ಇವರಿಂದ “ನಕ್ಕಾವ ಗೆದ್ದಾವ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇವರು ಜಾನಪದ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಗೆಗಡಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಲಿಸಿದರು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನ ಕುರಿತು ಸತ್ಸಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಐದನೇ ದಿನ
13-3-2019 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ ಅಂಬಣ್ಣವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಎನ್.ಸಿ. ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ನೀಲರಕಟ್ಟಿ ಇವರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಯೋಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 12 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು, ಶೌಚಾಲಯಗಳ ಬಳಕೆ ಕುರಿತು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಓಣಿ ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ದ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕ ಬಳಸಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಇವುಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 7.30 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಡಾ. ಸುವರ್ಣ ಪಾಟೀಲ, ಕೀಟ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞರು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಕುಂಬಾಪೂರ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಕೀಟಗಳಿಂದ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಕಾರದ ಕೀಟಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ನಂತರ ಡಾ. ಅರುಣ ಕುಮಾರ ಭಾವಿದೊಡ್ಡಿ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಕುಂಬಾಪೂರ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರ ಮಾವು ಬೇಸಾಯ ಅದರ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ 7.30 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ ಜೈ ಬಜರಂಗಿ ಮೆಲೊಡೀಸ್ ಕಲಾ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರುಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನರಂಜನೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್‍ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅರಿವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದರು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಕುರಿತು ಸತ್ಸಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಆರನೇ ದಿನ
14-3-2019 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಚನ್ನಬಸಪ್ಪ ಅಂಬಣ್ಣವರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಹಿತವಚನ ಭೋದಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಯೋಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 11 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚರಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಸ್ತೆ ಓಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚತೆಯ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 11 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ ಉಚಿತ ನೇತ್ರ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ಎಂ. ಜೋಶಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಸುಮಾರು 125 ಊರ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 25 ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಂಡರು. 3 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ರಕ್ತ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಿಕರು ರಕ್ತ ತಪಾಸಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವೈಕತೆಯ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಂಘಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಓಣಿ ಓಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ದ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕ ಮೂಲಕ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದರು.
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ 7 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಲ್. ಎಸ್. ಅಂಬಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಸಿ. ಪಿ. ಮನೋಹರ ಸಹಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕಲಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ರೈತರ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳು ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಹಾ ಪಾಪ ಜೀನವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ದೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನಂತರ 7.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಸೇವಕಿಯರು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕøತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನರಂಜನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಇಮಾಮ್‍ಸಾಬ ವಾಲೆಪ್ಪನವರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತಂಡ ಜಾನಪದ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನರಂಜನೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಪವಾಡ ಬಯಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಪವಾಡ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಗೆ ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಪವಾಡಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬಬೇಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಮತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವ ಕುರಿತು ಸತ್ಸಂಗ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಏಳನೇ ದಿನ
ದಿನಾಂಕ 15-03-2019 ರಂದು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ 3 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್. ಎಸ್. ಪಾಟೀಲ ಇವರು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಗಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗನಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವುಗಳ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಸುರೇಶ ನ್ಯಾಮತಿ ಇವರು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಓದಿದರು. ಮುಕ್ತಾಯ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಡಾ. ರೇಖಾ ಜೋಗುಳ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಕಿಟೆಲ್ ಕಲಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಇವರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖಂಡರಿಗೂ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೂ ಅವರುಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರೊ. ಬಿ. ಪಿ. ¯ಮಾಣಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

14. Infrastructural Development during the year 2018-2019

The newly constructed second floor of the Library building will be blessed and inaugurated in the month of June 2019. It has 4 rooms. Drinking water system has been implemented in the campus.

• Initiation of construction of new Digital Classrooms.

• Installation of energy saving lights phase by phase.

iii. Academic

• Availability of power point lectures in the college website for the students.

• More points of projection for ICT classes.

• Stream lining the online examination for bridge course

• Regularization of online formative assessments and preparing question banks accordingly

CONCLUSION

“The main aim of education is not only to impart knowledge but also to make the recipient a human being”. Education without values would be only words without meaning. The education that is imparted in our college, I am proud to say, is real education where we teach our beloved students to be human beings with high moral values. I express my deep sense of gratitude to all who in their own way have helped in raising the institution where it stands today. I owe my gratitude to our beloved President Rt.Rev. Ravikumar. J.
